Activity Summary: Tiltmeters at Kīlauea’s summit have shown no significant change in ground tilt since Sunday evening, when the gentle decrease earlier observed leveled off. The East Rift Zone lava flow remains active northeast of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, but has not advanced significantly and poses no threat to nearby communities. Low levels of seismic activity continue […]

Low-level eruptive activity in the summit crater continues. Seismicity remains above background. Elevated surface temperatures were observed in one satellite image over the past day. Web camera views obscured by clouds today, but clear webcam views yesterday afternoon showed a steam plume at the summit.
Activity Summary:Kilauea summit tilt is flat and the summit lava lake has been active but has remained at a relatively constant level. The East Rift Zone lava flow is active northeast of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, but has not advanced significantly and poses no threat to nearby communities. Low levels of seismic activity continue across the volcano. […]
Slightly elevated surface temperatures at the summit of the volcano were observed in one satellite image over the past day. Clear web camera images indicated very minor steam emissions at the summit. A field crew in the area reported no unusual activity. No unusual volcanic seismicity was detected.
There were no significant changes during the month of July 2015. No earthquakes were located beneath Haleakalā (East Maui) volcano within the past month. The single continuously recording GPS instruments on Haleakalā volcano did not record any significant deformation. A GPS survey of Haleakalā volcano at the end of July 2014 showed no significant motion […]
No unusual seismicity or deformation was detected during the month of July 2015. Three earthquakes were located in the vicinity of the summit and northwest rift zone of Hualālai Volcano – none were attributable to volcanic processes. The single continuous GPS receiver atop Hualālai did not record any significant deformation during the past month.
No unusual seismicity was detected during the month of July 2015. Lō‘ihi had two earthquake in its vicinity in the past month.
No unusual deformation or seismicity was detected during the month of July 2015. Eleven deep (> 13 km) and seven shallower earthquakes were detected beneath the volcano during the past month. JPL’s GPS station on Mauna Kea did not record any significant deformation during the past month.
Monitoring data through the month of July 2015: Seismicity: Seismicity at Mauna Loa remains elevated in several parts of the volcano. Earthquake rates on the Upper Southwest Rift Zone (Sulfur Cone) and Mokuʻāweoweo Crater remain elevated, with over 150 located earthquakes occurring in July. There was a swarm on the west flank of Mauna Loa, […]
Seismicity During July 2015, the University of Utah Seismograph Stations, responsible for the operation and analysis of the Yellowstone Seismic Network, reports 66 earthquakes were located in the Yellowstone National Park (YNP) region. The largest event was a small earthquake of magnitude 2.2 on July 11, at 06:09 PM MDT, located about 13 miles north […]
